I’ve changed my mind about dual-booting Fedora x and gNewSense x delta_. I have been using gNewSense 2.1 deltah for a while now and find the experience absolutely wretched. I will, however, attempt a dual-boot of Fedora x and Fedora (x-1). As a result, I will try to install Fedora 9 and Fedora 10 over the course of Thanksgiving break. If anyone knows how I may go about that post a link in the comments.

I just voted for the first time in my life. It was quite interesting and I am proud to have made a modicum of a difference in the unfolding of the future.

Today, minutes ago, we sang every verse of Amazing Grace. This is the first time I’ve had that privelege in my twenty years of existence. While we did sing only five of the six that are in the public domain version of Amazing Grace, our hymnal only contains those. Therefore, I consider those five completion.

I’m running gNewSense “deltah” 2.1 right now as I type. Unfortunately, I won’t have the time to fool with Fedora 9 in the next few days. I have to write a paper, a speech, gather information for my psychology paper, and do my math homework…by Wednesday morning. I will post a review of gNewSense later.

I’m about to set up a dual-boot of gNewSense and Fedora. As a result I’ll need to format everything and I won’t be able to use my computer for a couple of hours. I’ll let you know how it goes later.

Long after the release and just before the release of Fedora 10, I have finally started running Fedora 9. Despite believing that most probably already have their wireless running by now, I went ahead and typed up the guide to do it. Head over to the Fedora Docs section and pick up the pdf. It prints on one page and is excellent when you don’t want to keep it open on your computer.

I have been a long time user of OpenOffice.org(Yes, this is a program you install on your computer.) and have been quite pleased. Unfortunately, Microsoft came along and made a new office format for their 2007 suite. I haven’t been able to open it, but OpenOffice.org 3.0 just released and remedies that problem among others. This thoroughly excites me and many others and is manifested on the now crippled www.openoffice.org. Go there and get your copy, but don’t fuss because the website isn’t that pretty!

As of right now I can say I’ve occupied this earth for two decades. My mother’s side of the family, sans my mother, decided to continue their war upon my long hair. They’ve been torturing my little brother and I for quite some time over the subject. They claim that it makes me a bad Christian and back there stance by quoting a verse out of context. I find this amazing since I am thoroughly involved in church, read my bible every night, prohibit cursing, don’t smoke or drink, and have a well known witness of honesty around everyone who has had to deal with me.
I finally found someone who was willing to say or do something with me about Fedora 9+ so I should hopefully be able to continue using Fedora. Well, I’ve gotta get to bed.

Despite the amazing effectiveness of the Akismet comment spam handler, I’m getting annoyed at seeing the number saying “Akismet has blocked 8000+ spam”. Since their are very few people who comment here, I am making commenting a members’ only privilege.
