Not enough time

Here’s a quick burst to tell you all the things I don’t actually have time to tell you.

Aptana Studio Community/Professional 1.0 is live. Check it on the web at Aptana.com

I finally understand what Ruby on Rails is and plan to redo Kamisamanou.net in the Summer of 2008 unless something better comes along. I’ll probably use Aptana Pro to do it.

Classes terminate 10 Dec. 2007, Fedora 8 launches 08(Go figure?) Nov. 2007.

Songbird nearing a 0.3 release.

stop( );

I know something you don’t know

Somethings happening over at Aptana that I’m liking. As one of about 20 or so that were let in on this, I’m not allowed to divulge any details about this, but I do want to say.

  • You will soon see why Aptana is dual licensed.
  • Nothing bad is coming out of this.
  • This is what I have been looking forward to since the Aptana project originated.

Keep watching the Aptana project with me in anticipation for what will soon come!

10-17-2007

As of today, I have all my graded essays back. It’s nice, having never written an essay before, to have gotten two 97’s. I’m also 19 now and have been a Freshman at Roane State Community College since September.

Fedora 8 is right on schedule, therefore the Final freeze is in effect and no new packages are entering the release. It is set to release on November 4, 2007, a date subject to variation. I’ll probably be waiting until December before I touch the official release. I have a live cd of test 3 that I might play with, however.I don’t see any major web dev coming out of me anytime soon. I have an abundance of homework and diminishing time. I’ve been enjoying programming in Java lately and am doing rather well at it. I received a TI-86 in the mail today, and it should be quite fun to mess with programming on it.

It appears that from a message I read the OpenMoko project and the NIC Neo1973 that the two will be ready for consumer release in November or December of this year. I hope to be able to pick on up, though I’m running thin on money.

I need to get some sleep.

The New Fedora 7 BCM 4318 Air Force One 54 b/g Guide

For those who don’t know, I took my original guide down due to the trouble many have had with it. I recently came upon some instructions that appear to be helping people alot on this issue. I have therefore decided to clean them up and present them as this guide. The guide will be available in the PDF format using OpenOffice.org.

Thoof

Have you heard about Thoof.com? I did when someone posted a video on Digg using YouTube. The video bragged about how Thoof was essentially higher quality and had more interesting, less childish, content.

Despite not having many complaints with Digg, I went to check it out. When I landed on the page, I started scrolling through the content. It was slow, but in about 2 minutes I managed to find 3 stories on Paris Hilton and one on Britney Spears. I’ll admit some may find that more interesting, but the demeaning stories of the two celebrities hardly seemed higher quality or less childish. In the end I found Thoof to be a bad spoof of Digg.
