Fedora 7

Well, I’m running Test 2 at the moment. I tried updating, but ran into some serious problems. Therefore, I’m going to wait for the Fedora 7 release. I’ll keep on posting every couple of days, but probably won’t be doing any major site mods. As of this version, the Broadcom card still doesn’t work. I don’t know what kind of support will exist in the full release, but I assure you I will document the process of setting it up(if necessary) and provide one-on-one consulting on the matter.

So that’s what ig stands for…

If you’ve ever gone to the personalized Google page, you might have noticed the url looked something like this: http://www.google.com/ig?hl=en. Have you ever wondered why that was chosen? I did for a long time, and today, my personalized Google page was renamed to iGoogle and this was plastered upon the page:

iGoogle

Apparently this would be the final step in unveiling Google personalized page, since they’ve finally announce the official name which they’d hinted at for so long.

April Records

April has truly been a great month at Kamisamanou.net. The image below shows some interesting numbers and graphs revealing some interesting information. To explain the Hits and files a bit further. November is when the Nexuiz Installer took off, January was when I landed on Digg, and April….well I don’t know why it’s so high. Pages saw an increase in 2007 with the renovation of Kamisamanou.net. Visits and sites has some interesting information showing an increase since January. Another notable change is the difference in kilobyte usage, which shows that I became less size dependent as the traffic to my website increased. The odd thing is that my Digg landing actually helped me a lot.

The Broadcom guide is going away

I wrote this guide, left it on the net for a few months, then officially published it. Unfortunately, I know of no-one who has had success with the guide. I have one person I will help who has contacted me find the solution and the Fedora Core 6 version will be deleted. I do still plan on writing on for Fedora 7 when I get around to installing it.

Will Digg Die?

After this amazing key hit the net giving people god-like abilities with HD movies. Digg got a good ol’ C&D letter. They then proceeded to ban and delete users and stories to comply. That, however, didn’t go down to well with the users. Now, in the face of huge legal trouble, Kevin Rose has predicted the destruction of Digg.com.
