Crocs, Not a Crock

For a long time people have told me how comfortable Croc shoes are. I didn’t believe it. Today, however, after my mother had me try a pair(I needed shoes) I became an owner of a suprisingly comfortable shoe.

Fedora 7 Test 4 releases tomorrow.

RSS - Really Simple Syndication

Even though there’s nothing simple about the word “syndication”, RSS is pretty simple if your getting it through Firefox or Feedburner. So, in order to allow those who don’t have the luxury of the best web browser to date simplicity in subscribing to my RSS feeds, I have my feeds going through Feedburner. To subscribe is very easy, click the little red RSS icon on the pagebar of the blog(beneath the clock), or the button in the footer at the bottom of the page. I do however, hope to have a php script that shows IE users the Feedburner link, and Firefox users a standard RSS feed.

Rough Day

Today was pretty bad. Half the people didn’t show up for work, I had to stay extremely late to do someone else’s job. I think I found a cavity where my filling was supposed to be.

I heard a few interesting things tonight.

Halo 2 has a new map-pack via X-Box Live. It seems to contain to hyped-up versions of older Halo courses according to the e-mail I read.

Art. Lebedev finally nailed down another manufacturer for their minuscule OLED keys. Unfortunately, instead of grabbing something similar to what they were already going to use(32×32px, 0.9×0.9mm keys) and lowering the price, they’re switching to 48×48px with the same dimensions. While I’m no one to fuss at higher resolution displays, it seems to be a bit of overkill for such a tiny screen. Also, for something that is as….utilitarian as a keyboard, it just doesn’t make sense.

Amazing Wallpapers

It’s really hard to find something to put on your desktop nowadays, but this site has been collecting wallpapers for years. You wan’t to know how many they have? 96. That number is the result of a very careful selection process that produces some amazing wallpapers.

Google Hooks Linux Users Up, but Rejects Windows Users

If your reading this, you know what Google Video is. Most geeks would say it’s a video website that allows the downloading of crappy player designed to play a proprietary codec, that is, if they used Windows. I’ve noticed, that If you are running Linux, Google offers there videos in .avi files. I recently looked up “Brian Head Welch” and watched the CNN video. Being a dedicated Linux(Fedora Core) user, I had not a Windows partition wasting any of my precious 55GB. Well, a few day’s later I went to the same video to download it on a friends computer, only to find I couldn’t get an .avi . I then went home, loaded the same video, and checked the drop box for the amusing AVI message, and it was there. So if not being able to play Google Videos ever prevented you from making the switch, feel free to download like there’s no tomorrow.

Cool Stuff

For some time now, I’ve wanted to show everyone what I think is top-notch. I plan on one day putting a page up for that, but until then, Check out the sidebar at the bottom and under “Cool Stuff” you’ll see things like DivX, Aptana, Songbird, etc. I’ll have a page for it one day, but until then, just scroll down and look to the right.

Boulevard of Broken Dreams (Edited)

There’s very little secular music I listen. This is one of the few songs I listen to and I was suprised to find a cuss word in it. I’ve edited, and I now offer it for download.

BBCode is up!

Call me soft. I stayed up another hour, just to get this out, for you. The BBCode is up at the usrbars page. Doing so has cleared my todo list that I have on my Googleâ„¢ homepage. Other things on my homepage include a counter, notifying me that Fedora 7 releases in 36 days, GMail, Google Reader, Google Calendar, and Webster’s Word of the Day feed. Now that I have that out of the way, I can start putting together more content for Kamisamanou.net. Good Night.

Working with Red Hat

Now that I’m done with the ACT, I have a little more time on hand. I won’t, however, be delving into kamisamanou.net just yet. After I asked a little question on an IRC channel, I ended up head first in a new pile of crap. I’ll be working hand-in-hand with Red Hat and Aptana to figure out some bugs in Aptana. This will work in the favor of myself and kamisamanou.net since it will make the editing and uploading/downloading process more streamlined. I’ll also be switching to Fedora 7 here soon.
