Here’s a little bit of info I’ve read on engadget. First off, Sony’s already lost billions of dollars(drawn from pricing and selling information posted to engadget.) on their little PS3. No reports on bankruptcy yet. The Wii, which means yes in french and means you 4-year old needs the use the bathroom, just released and a Times Square Toys R’ Us sold about 7,000 of the little Mario boxes. More important than both of those, is the fact that Art Lebedev will be taking preord3rs for the wonderful Optimus-103 on Dec. 12(5 days after openSUSE 10.2 releases). iPodMods decided to crack open a Zune and figured out how to stuff that thing with a 40G drive. JoyTech was the first company to start 3rd party-ing that Wiimote, and open up possibilities that the Wiimote may one day soon, have more addons than the iPod. I’ve also just read that CompUSA may be trying to save Sony from there imminent bankruptcy, by selling PS3’s only to purchasers of large SONY HiDef sets. Speaking of TV’s, Hitachi has come up with a model train set controlled by your brain.
This is the greatest news from my Google™ Reader setup.

As any of you who have already downloaded my little Google button may no, the problem with the “Customize” window has resurfaced. I don’t remember how I fixed it last time, but it wasn’t that hard. Anyway, After I fix that bug, I’ll run it on my machine for a few days and release the first full version(1.1)

Before everyone starts raving about me being a fan-boy, read on.
Mozilla recently contacted companies such as PhishTank, Google, SmartWare, and iSec Partners to compare the phishing protection of Firefox 2 and IE7. Some interesting information came out of there tests. IE7 caught 117 phish that Ff2 didn’t and in like manner, Ff2 caught 243 phish that IE7 didn’t. Out of the 1040 URLs tested, Firefox 2 %78.85 itself and %81.54 with Google’s help. IE7 did horribly without Autocheck ON catching %1.54 of the phish, but equipped with Autocheck, caught %66.35 phishies. You can get a complete look at http://www.mozilla.org/security/phishing-test.html

I’ve deleted a few files to clean up the preferences window. It’s still not perfect.
Drag it if you dare. By the way, I would ask that those brave testers out there uninstall previous versions before installing this one.
Bugs:
- Preferences Window has blank space.
Do read the previous two post, they contain other information including the Google Bookmarkit 0.2.1 release.

After jumping over some major glitches, the last problem was that Google™ Bookmarkit was lackluster in the visual department. Thankfully, I’ve found a CSS trick to prettify that somewhat ugly icon I created. If this version works flawlessly as I hope it does, it will be re-badged as version 1.0 and released to the Mozilla Addons page.
I have plans for a 2.0 version that include:
- Putting Google™ Bookmarkit in the context menu when a link is right clicked.
- Fixing the icon without the CSS trick.
