It seems that the forums don’t really get any attention here. Should they be deleted?

Akismet to the rescue!

Alright, with the exception of “Kar”, most people have found it entertaining to send me spam comments. Give up! I don’t click your links and never will I approve your spam comment. I have installed anti-spam software, and while I know that everything can be bypassed, I ask that you don’t waste your time.

Friday and Saturday

I figured I’d do a little post on the last 2 days.

Friday, not much happened. I cleaned a little before I went to my worst day at work ever. I couldn’t keep drive-thru time down to save my life. I dumped water on my self countless times. And I couldn’t get the place closed when we finally did close. Also, for all of you DDR fans, Burger King is doing a DDR promotion starting Dec. 4. After I finally got home, I read my mail and went to bed.

Today Yesterday, I got up at ~10:30 and after doing my morning routine, and editing the Wikipedia, I went outside to work on my car. I, by no means, enjoy working on my car. Unfortunately, it’s either that, or pay someone else to. I’m not rich and I have priorities(i.e. this website, college, getting a car I don’t have to fix every month.). It took me forever, but I finished it at ~17:30. I ate, then went to church to set up MediaShout for tomorrow today. It is now 00:47, I’ll do a little code, maybe hit up some SuperTux, and then hit the bed.

P.S. Hey Kar, get on msn tomorrow today after evening service and we’ll talk some.

KNet Update - 001

Well, here it is. The first announcements from KNet.

  • DinerWiki, the searchable restaurant database must be before it’s time, because it hasn’t done well. For that reason, I will be removing it from KNet until I decide to bring it back.
  • The Linamp project has been abandoned. The idea, while appealing in the beginning, is over. No worries though.
  • All of my current projects will be handed over to Unknown Development Inc., a new member of KNet.
  • A concept for the replacement of the Linamp project is in the works. It will be discussed in further detail in 2 years, and will be made by Unknown Development Inc. It will still have the goals of Linamp, but will be far better.

Amazon Sells Gold at the price of silver, and can’t handle the rush

Some couple of weeks ago, amazon.com put up a vote for what item they would sell at a discount. One of the items, an X-Box 360 sold at $100, drew %84 of the votes and was subsequently declared the definite winner on major news site digg.com.

Digg is widely known for the “digg effect,” a phenomenon where digg users bring down a website due to too many request from digg.com. The story was submitted 4 days ago by “Allsortshop.” The story gathered 3099 diggs, which, though it didn’t bring down the might amazon’s servers, did attract many computer savvy people to amazon.com. Geeks, as they are called by others and themselves, often use there knowledge of things like the “F5″ button to refresh windows. That, combined with the prevalence of the Firefox web browser and Fasterfox, an extension that allows one computer to connect to the same site far too many times, did become enough to overload amazon.com. I was unable to access the page for 10-15 minutes and when the “smoke cleared” all units had been sold out. Happy shopping!

Christmas Music

Lets face it, traditional Christmas songs suck for the most part. Therefore, I recommend you buy Trans-Siberian Orchestra Compact Discs. TSO is the Admins of Christmas music, they are awesome. I’ve heard of prices for there discs being pretty cheap. These people know how to rock it! This is one Orchestra that will overpower you, and fix all those Christmas songs right proper.

Fresh of the press? No, but it is fresh off the ‘net.

Here’s a little bit of info I’ve read on engadget. First off, Sony’s already lost billions of dollars(drawn from pricing and selling information posted to engadget.) on their little PS3. No reports on bankruptcy yet. The Wii, which means yes in french and means you 4-year old needs the use the bathroom, just released and a Times Square Toys R’ Us sold about 7,000 of the little Mario boxes. More important than both of those, is the fact that Art Lebedev will be taking preord3rs for the wonderful Optimus-103 on Dec. 12(5 days after openSUSE 10.2 releases). iPodMods decided to crack open a Zune and figured out how to stuff that thing with a 40G drive. JoyTech was the first company to start 3rd party-ing that Wiimote, and open up possibilities that the Wiimote may one day soon, have more addons than the iPod. I’ve also just read that CompUSA may be trying to save Sony from there imminent bankruptcy, by selling PS3’s only to purchasers of large SONY HiDef sets. Speaking of TV’s, Hitachi has come up with a model train set controlled by your brain.

This is the greatest news from my Google™ Reader setup.
