I’m posting a bit early today, but I think that’s because I’m already a little sleepy. I have to get up and go to work tomorrow at 11am, but first I have to get to the church by 10am. I’m not a morning person at all as you may have noticed by when I do things. It appears this Google Bookmarkit extension may take some time to fix. I know that the problem is the browser.xul file but can’t zero in on it. I may or may not go over to mozillazine.org tonight and ask what my problem is on the forums.
Today we had a business meeting at church. That’s were we make up for all the hatred we don’t show in the services. I’d be the first to say “come to First Baptist”, but I’d also tell you to “stay away from business meetings.”

The del.icio.us Search Plugin I developed last tuesday has finally been approved for the Mycroft Project, the official place for Firefox/SeaMonkey search plugins. I’ve been hosting the plugin here at Kamisamanou.net, but am very happy to see it get put somewhere where more people can access it. Feel free to get it there if you don’t want to pick it up here.

It still isn’t fixed. I will say that you can no longer drag it into the addon window because the last update I did wasn’t packaged correctly. You can install it by unzipping it to the extensions folder of you firefox installation. I’d also like to point out that it is compatible with Firefox 1.0-3.0a1 and can be used on any platform. It is currently Firefox only, but I might make one for SeaMonkey later.

I just (almost)finished working on a Firefox extension called Google Bookmarkit. Similar to the “Tag This” button you get with the del.icio.us extension, clicking on the Google Bookmarkit button opens a popup to post whatever site you were on to Google Bookmarks.
*Update* Until I fix the extension you will have to open tools>Add-ons and drag this link into the addons window that appears. Then right click the toobar and click customize. You’ll see several buttons all bunched up together with the “Post to Google” text directly underneath them. drag that onto the toolbar and it will change to the regular logo. The button works right now, but needs a few cosmetic fixes and I’ve got to figure out how to make it install with a click.

If you haven’t already noticed, a new page has been added to kamisamanou.net. It’s the plugin page I promised yesterday.
As of now you can only install the Sherlock version(Sorry IE7 users). Therefore, I will mention that I shall soon have the OpenSearch finished, at which point IE7 users will be able to install it. On that note, once the OpenSearch plugin lands on this page Firefox users will be able to install it via auto discovery.

I’ve found that there aren’t any search plugins available for del.icio.us itself. I have created one and submitted it to http://mycroft.mozdev.org. I plan on creating an OpenSearch plugin for Firefox 2.0 here soon. You can find my del.icio.us search plugin now on my servers in /projects. However, I do recommend waiting for the upload at http://mycroft.mozdev.org or waiting a day for me to get an installation page up for it.

I’m so happy. Along with the 2.0 release came a new version of performancing, which I’m using to make this post.
