Kamisamanou.net V3 Beta

Kamisamanou.net has been though a couple of redesigns and functional changes over the years and this time is no different. Between a colour blind friend of mine mentioning difficult reading red on black, and my ever-increasing infatuation with Google and the Fedora Project(both have me craving blue and white) the need to redo Kamisamanou.net was apparent. Below is the current changelog:
- Redesigned colouring and header for all pages but the blog.
- Added “About Me” that points to http://www.google.com/profiles/kamisamanou
- Deleted the useless clock javascript(your welcome Mr. Gibson)
- Modified footer text slightly to better represent what it should say
- Deleted other random bits of (worthless) code under the hood.

Getting the updates

I know that I haven’t been blogging much. I just haven’t had the time to sit down and churn out something worth reading. However, due to the simplicity my cellphone affords me, I have been able to keep a somewhat daily stream of life available over at http://www.twitter.com/kamisamanou . There you will catch updates on my life and more importantly, stuff related to Fedora and other technology.

Some good music

The Reconstruction Music Project at reconstructionmusic.org is gift from piano master Rob Costlow and remixer/electronic musician allMeadow. Several amazing tracks from Costlow, allMeadow, Keith Skooglund, and others. All the tracks are free to  stream and  download, and if you’ve been blessed with a little extra cash, you can purchase albums from the individual artists at their websites. I highly recommend checking this music out, and that you read the story behind the Reconstruction Music Project.

Holiday movies

Yep, it is that time of year, time to celebrate the holidays with the visual creations created just for that time. In this post, I bring you a link to an experience that none have ever forgotten.

Insert Relevant Title Here

For some time now I have been having doubts about whether or not I’d be a programmer or composer/musician for a living, and for my college pursuits. I have more recently decided that I am definitely going to go to school as a programmer(Computer Science) and take as many music classes as I can along with those from my major.

In other news, I figured out how to use the Arranger part of my church’s Yamaha W5 keyboard. It is quite entertaining and I will probably bring it to the Intro to Digital Music class I have this semester.

My brother’s GMail account was recently compromised, a hefty remember to use a good password. I recommend http://www.grc.com/passwords.htm a good place to get a good password. You don’t have to use the whole strings. I recommend about 8-16 characters from the alpha-numeric string.

My work on the Album View media page for Songbird may finally begin here soon, as I have finally been able to get my build environment up and running.

Site work coming soon.

No Class

I came to the school today, only to find out that we were not having class. It is a long drive and I was quite upset when I got here. Anyway, talk to you later.

Google celebrates the Bar Code creator

Today you will be greeted by a barcode above your Google search box which, if you scan with an appropriately equipped Android phone reveals the word Google.

Fedora updates

While I’m not talking about a brand new version, I do feel the same excitement toward some recent updates that I felt when Fedora 11 was released. Recent updates have tied up a few loose ends and have finally fixed the unreliability of my wireless connection, which had been disconnecting quite often. Classes are going well and things are looking better at work.Oops, I just realized this is a post about Fedora. Get it at http://www.fedoraproject.org.

Kamisamanou.net

I mentioned at one point that Kamisamanou.net would be moving to Google’s servers. Furthermore, I metioned that it would end up on Blogger. I have to retract that second statement though, as I like Wordpress too much. I will also be setting that blog at Kamisamanou.com and reserve Kamisamanou.net for everything else.
